The REP brings theatre to Erdington residents with new Home Theatre project
Birmingham Repertory Theatre has announced plans to bring theatre into the homes of Erdington residents on Saturday 18 October with its new initiative, Home Theatre Birmingham.
Home Theatre Birmingham invites Erdington residents to apply to host a performance, made especially for them, in their own home to an audience of their choosing.
These tailor-made performances will be created by Birmingham theatre artists and will be based on the Host’s own personal stories, experiences or anything they wish to see a performance about.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to meet with the performer or playwright on Saturday 11 October, which will form the starting point for a performance that will be made over the week of 11 October before being performed on Saturday 18 October.
The project is open to anyone who lives in the Erdington district (Tyburn, Erdington, Stockland Green and Kingstanding wards), wherever they live in the area and whatever home is to them.
Anyone interested in applying, or who would like further information can email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0121 245 2045 and can visit the Birmingham Rep website as well of course checking through the Cafe Arts website
