Birmingham Arts Board and Culture Leadership Training 2015 –
Introductory Sessions –
We need more people to help lead local arts in our communities
Are you interested in the arts? Do you want to help make a difference in your local community?
Birmingham City Council Culture Commissioning Service are offering an arts leadership training programme for adult residents from across the city to develop their skills and knowledge to become local leaders, who can support local arts in Birmingham.
Arts organisations need people with a range of expertise and this training programme will offer individuals the opportunity to develop or hone existing skills in trusteeship and governance, fund-raising, marketing, event and volunteer management.
If you already have some of these skills, would like to develop your knowledge and skills to make a difference in your local community, then this is the training opportunity for you. You will need to attend ONE introduction session to register your interest and then training packages will become available during the year for you to attend at your convenience.
The introductory sessions outlined below take place across the city in a variety of different locations. During the session you will learn more about the way in which the programme will be developed. You will also be asked to register and undertake a skills audit so that training can be pitched appropriately.
