We are looking for 4 ideas to support in the Erdington District that will see artists working in one of the 4 wards: Tyburn; Erdington; Stockland Green and Kingstanding.
Each idea needs to have:
- A participatory arts activity that is delivered in one of the wards
- That has a local partner in that ward
- That artistically has a link with some aspect of the Birmingham Rep Theatre’s programme
- Engages people who wouldn’t normally, in an arts activity
- Applied for by an artist or group of artists or arts organisation
Ideally we would like the artist or group who apply to be a resident of one of the four wards (although the idea doesn’t have to be delivered in the ward in which you live).
Your activity can be a one off event or a series of activities depending how you wish to use the budget.
We are looking for ideas that links with an aspect of the Birmingham Rep’s programme. This could be a theme that is drawn on or a direct relation to the show. As part of your application you can request tickets for a particular show. For further details of their programme visit http://www.birmingham-rep.co.uk/whats-on/
You will need to be able to advertise your activity and a summary of its success on the CAFÉ Arts website as well as any other means that will be valuable to your idea.
All artists are to have a DBS certificate of less than 2 years old and their own Public Liability Insurance of £2 million minimum.
Timeframe: All activity to be delivered ideally by 31st March 2016 or no later than the school Easter holidays (by 10th April)
Budget: £250 inclusive of any fee and resources required
Application: using the application form and with a supporting CV and/or examples of your work. Photos or links to a website can also be provided.
